So, my cousin sent me more pics of our rescued doggies, and I’m glad to see they look really happy and healthy. Apparently they both eat like pigs, Raul is a stubborn little one whilst Klaus is shy and obedient. [For the curious amongst you, Raul is the big one on the left, and Klaus is the teeny-tiny one with the whitey patch on his muzzle].

We are still trying to figure out what type of cross breed they are (there is some Rotweiller in them for sure, but we cannot work out the other breed/s they are mixed with). Aren’t they insatiably cute?

Petite France, Strasbourg.

In order to respect my schedule, I have 30min to get ready to go out and hand in a couple of CVs -speaking of which, the layout of French CVs baffles me-, knock out Macroeconomics and have a good shouting session at my British university as their online system won’t let me select my optional module for next year.

Evening Tumblr people, I am glad to introduce you to Raul and...

Raul

Klaus

Evening Tumblr people, I am glad to introduce you to Raul and Klaus, my two new babies.

My grandfather found them in a garbage bin and decided to take them home and adopt them despite we already have three cats and another dog. I cannot even express in words how disgraceful it is for someone to abandon such cute puppies -or any pet whatsoever-, thus sentencing them to almost certain death.

Raul and Klaus’ story came to a happy ending, which cannot be said for most pets that are abandoned every year. They’re lucky to be alive and in good health, and we’re lucky to have such wonderful little balls of furs in our lives.

Now let’s just hope they get on with the cats.

Despite looking most likely to be an Italian production, this...

Despite looking most likely to be an Italian production, this might actually be good.

The film narrates the battle of Vienna, which took place on 11 and 12 September 1683 after Vienna had been besieged by the Ottoman Empire for two months. Not sure how historically accurate it’ll be, but I never say no to an apparently well-made historical/war movie.

Moreover, the Holy Roman Empire kicks ass.

PS: The movie is called 11 settembre 1683 and was directed by Renzo Martinelli.

Update: No good, don’t watch it.

Exam timetable for next week:

Monday: English oral comprehension -hardly a real exam-

Tuesday: Environmental shit test -no, that’s not the real name of the module-

Wednesday: Translation (French-Italian)

Friday: Translation (English-French)

These guys here are however the easiest of the bunch. Back in the UK, we’d normally have around 5 final exams MAX, but the Frenchies just love to complicate their lives, which makes that we have in fact, 11.

The upcoming boys include:

May 06: Macro-economics and International Relations -yep, two on the same day-

May 07: Public/Private law

May 17: International law

AKA

<strike>Studying Langues etrangères appliquées is good for you.</strike>

I bid you a good night.

On 'le sudate carte'

holiday /ˈhɒlɪˌdeɪ -dɪ/n

These Easter holidays seem to have very little to do with the actual definition of a holiday. My ‘me-time’ started off with the sighting of a mouse in my flat, followed by a major OCD-style cleaning which basically entailed covering the whole house in bleach. Now that Frizzie -yes, I gave the mouse a name- has gone out of my life, I have 50 odd pages of public and private law to memorise and a whole variety of paperwork to sort out.

As I was insatiably jealous of my friends, whom are either touring Europe or enjoying the unusually wonderful Alsatian weather, I decided to take a break and grab a coffee with my special one. You’d think I would use such time to chill out and be all cheesy with my man, but I instead spent it discussing the Arab domination back in the middle ages and brainstorming the business plan of a possible start-up.

This is my official song of the day. I’ve listened to it 4 times in a row on my way home, which means I take roughly 14 minutes to walk back to my place from uni -weirdo-. I just seem to love it so much, either because it is a fairly appropriate description of my life, either because I’ve been addicted to Peep Show for the last week or so.

So, as usual, I’ve posted something for the first time in weeks due to exams and a couple of personal issues which deeply annoy me. On the sunny side, I’m getting two exams out of the way tomorrow and will take advantage of the April holidays to have some ‘me’ time -which hasn’t happened in quite a long while- and hopefully finish reading my books on EU/British politics and the Communist party manifesto -my boyfriend insists that i should know my enemy in order to defeat him with its own weapons-.

Wish me luck for tomorrow, as I have a presentation on the business of religion and my very religious lecturer will probably slaughter me once I’m done.
